Fallen

Robin Leigh Kelsey, January 17 1949 – July 1 2013.

RIP Robin Leigh Kelsey, age 64. My dear brother passed away sometime between July 1 and 2, in his bed at home in Peterborough, Ontario. He’d broken his ankle last week, had surgery, and was recuperating at home; the coroner says he suffered a silent heart attack. Robin was a photographer par excellence, a writer, and at an earlier time in his life, a talented woodworker.

Sometimes life intervenes. I’m on leave from the ITE, traveling with my son Morgan and my granddaughter Jillian to be with my nephew, Jake Burkholder (Robin’s son), and a few of his many friends here in Peterborough. I’ll be back in Philadelphia in a couple of days; meanwhile, if you like, here is a link to his photo blog:

and here is a glimpse of the remarkable man who was my brother, posted by a fellow blogger whose life he had touched:

with all best wishes to all of you , life is short and doesn’t wait.
